Cheshire Cobble, a Sophisticated Choice for a New Driveway in Sale
With space at a premium in and around South Manchester, parking your car can be problematic if you live in Sale. Some of our recent clients from Sale needed a more practical space to park the car but wanted to combine this with improving the appearance of the front of their house. As a result, they opted to have a pattern imprinted new driveway in Sale. They chose to have it printed in Cheshire Cobble and coloured in classic grey with charcoal release. This traditional pattern will complement any style or age of house. In this instance the driveway was sealed in a mid-sheen with anti-skid. While the mid sheen gives the surface a lovely glossy appearance, the anti-skid makes it safe to walk/drive on. The front step was in the same pattern imprinted concrete to match up with the driveway.
We also installed an ACO drain in order to allow for surface water to flow away. This is standard with all of our driveways when there is nowhere for surface water to flow to. You can see from the photographs that it ran parallel to the front of the house.
Our clients were keen not to just have pattern imprinted concrete across the whole of the front of the house but to add interest by incorporating some shrubs. One of the advantages of pattern imprinted concrete is that it has the flexibility to be laid into any shape and can allow for additional features to be included such as borders and single shrubs/trees. You can see from the photographs included that we were able to include a circular area and a semi-circle in which we planted a couple of established bushes.
