Concrete Driveway and New Patio in Heald Green, Stockport – A Fantastic Showpiece!
Lasting Impressions recently completed a project that involved installing a new patio in Heald Green Stockport along with a new driveway. There was a lot of work involved as it required extensive landscaping of the space around the front, sides, and back of the house. Our clients chose to have pattern imprinted concrete which was to be used primarily to create the driveway at the front of the house and patio area at the back.
To begin with we had to excavate the area at the front and back of the house which required digging out the ground in order to create an area for the pattern imprinted concrete to go. We added sleepers in order to define the different spaces and create clear borders.
The next part of the process was the driveway. The was installed using London Cobble pattern in classic grey. You can see from some of the photographs included that the driveway was across the full length of the house and wrapped around the side of it. At one side the London Cobble pattern was extended to lead to the back of the house. A step was installed leading to the patio, again to create definition between the different areas.
Once this was done, we focused on putting in the new patio in Heald Green, Stockport. For this our clients chose to have a wood plank effect in classic grey. This ran across the back of the house and as a path down one side of the house.
The great thing about pattern imprinted concrete is that you can combine the same materials but to create a different effect, in this instance using London Cobble and a plank effect but linking it together by having the same colour – classic grey. Similarly, with pattern imprinted concrete you can use the colours to create whatever effect you want. In this instance the colour that our clients chose accentuated the colour of the window frames and doors of the house, tying the whole scheme together.
In addition to installing a new driveway and patio we will carry out landscape gardening in Heald Green, Stockport. With this project it included landscaping and turfing the garden at the back of the house. We used stadium quality turf. We also put in a concrete base for a shed to be placed on and designed a path in London Cobble leading to it. We also fitted a fence across the back of the garden and installed the highest quality gates at the side of the house to create a secure parking area. The front lawn was also turfed.
